LYKKE Indigo interchangeable needle set 3.5" – wooden tips in 9 sizes with case

The LYKKE Indigo interchangeable circular needle set contains wooden needle tips in 9 sizes from 3.25 to 6.5 mm (US 3 to US 10.5), plus cables in three lengths and accessories. You can knit hats, scarves, sleeves, jumpers and socks in the round or back and forth without buying a separate circular needle for every needle size. The tips are 3.5" (8.9 cm) long. Everything is stored in the needle case in violet.

The set includes 4 cables (2 × 40 cm, 1 × 50 cm, 1 × 60 cm), 2 connectors, 4 cable keys and 8 cable end stoppers. Because you can combine tips and cables freely, you can match the needle size and cable length to each project.

Which needle size and cable should you use?

The small sizes from 3.25 mm suit finer yarn, for example for socks or delicate shawls, while the larger sizes up to 6.5 mm suit thicker yarn for hats, scarves and jumpers. Choose the needle size according to your pattern and check it with a tension swatch. The 40 cm cables are suitable for small circumferences such as hats or sleeves. For larger pieces, use the 50 or 60 cm cable. For even larger circumferences, you can join two cables with a connector.

Assembling the set

Screw the tip onto the cable and tighten it with the cable key. Check the join from time to time, as a loose join can come undone while you knit. The stoppers on the cable ends let you park stitches when you want to use the cable as a stitch holder or change needles. The tips are made of wood; stitches slip off them less easily than off smooth metal needles.
