Lang Yarns Amira Light is a chainette yarn in 100% cotton (organic cotton) for knitting jumpers, tops and accessories. According to the manufacturer, the yarn has plenty of volume while feeling light and airy, so you can wear your knitwear all year round.

One ball weighs 50 g and has a length of approx. 140 m. That works out at 280 m per 100 g, which makes it easy to compare quantities for your project when your pattern gives the yardage. The manufacturer classes the yarn as worsted weight.

What Amira Light is used for

The chainette construction gives the yarn volume without making it feel heavy. That suits jumpers and tops you want to wear in spring, summer and autumn. With needles of 4–4.5 mm you knit at the size the manufacturer intends for this yarn. Cotton is less elastic than wool, so your knitted piece gives less and has a somewhat softer drape.
