Städter Santa Claus 3D Cake Tin – Bake a Father Christmas with a Quick-Release Clasp

With the Städter Santa Claus 3D cake tin (art. no. 661813), you can bake a three-dimensional Father Christmas from sponge or Madeira cake mixture. The tin is made of metal with a Xynflon non-stick coating. It comes in two parts held together by a quick-release clasp. This makes it easy to take apart after baking, and Father Christmas turns out of the tin well.

The capacity is 1000 ml, and the finished shape measures approx. 13.5 × 19 × 12 cm. A recipe is included in the folding box. According to the manufacturer, the tin is made without PFAS and is heat-resistant up to 250 °C.

Baking Father Christmas

Fit the two halves of the tin together and close the quick-release clasp before you pour in the batter. Firm mixtures that hold their shape, such as sponge or Madeira cake mixture, work well for 3D shapes. Fill the tin only far enough to leave room for the mixture to rise; 1000 ml is the maximum. Never bake above 250 °C. After baking, let the tin cool briefly before you open the clasp. The tin is hot, so handle it only with oven gloves. Letting it cool means the still-soft cake will not break off at the hat and beard.

Caring for the non-stick coating

Clean the tin with hot water, mild washing-up liquid and a cloth. The tin is not dishwasher safe. Do not use scouring pads or sponges or abrasive cleaners, so that the coating is not damaged.
