Victorinox Synergy Alox in dark blue – pocket knife with 9 functions
The Victorinox Synergy Alox in dark blue (art. no. 0.8216.22) is a pocket knife with nine functions and a large locking blade. It suits everyday use, the workshop and leisure: you can open boxes, cut string, turn screws, open bottles or strip wire. The skeletonised handle scales are made of Alox, which is anodised aluminium. The knife is made in Switzerland and is covered by the Victorinox lifetime guarantee.
At 93 mm long when closed and approx. 77 g, the Synergy stays compact. The blade is not a one-hand knife: you open it with both hands and it locks in place when open.
The nine functions at a glance
According to Victorinox, the Synergy Alox has these tools:
- Large blade, locking
- Parcel opener
- Screwdriver 3 mm
- Screwdriver 7 mm
- Bottle opener
- Nail file
- Nail cleaner
- Wire stripper
- Carry clip
Using the tools
The large blade cuts string, paper or packaging material. The parcel opener is intended for cardboard boxes, so you do not need to use the blade for them. The two screwdrivers fit slotted screws in smaller and larger sizes. Do not use the blade as a lever or screwdriver; the other tools are there for that. Always fold it fully closed after use.
Which colour and which model?
The Synergy Alox is available in red, silver and dark blue. It belongs to the Alox Refined Collection with Onefold, Synergy and Synergy X. The Onefold is the slimmer version, while the Synergy X offers additional functions.
