Victorinox Synergy X Alox Pocket Knife, Dark Blue, 10 Functions

Victorinox Synergy X Alox in dark blue – pocket knife with scissors and ten functions

The Victorinox Synergy X Alox in dark blue (art. no. 0.8226.22) is a pocket knife with ten functions for the home, workshop and hobbies. Besides the large locking blade, it has scissors, a parcel opener, two screwdrivers, a bottle opener and a wire stripper. According to Victorinox, the "X" in the name stands for the extended equipment with the precision scissors.

The skeletonised Alox scales are made of anodised aluminium. The knife belongs to the Alox Refined Collection, is made in Switzerland and is covered by the Victorinox lifetime guarantee.

What the tools are used for

The scissors cut paper, thread, foil or packing tape cleanly, while the blade handles heavier cuts, for example on card or string. The parcel opener slits adhesive tape and strapping without putting strain on the blade. With the screwdrivers (3 mm and 7 mm) you can loosen small screws on devices or glasses, and the wire stripper removes the sheathing from thin cables. The bottle opener, nail file and nail cleaner complete the range of tools.

Choosing and using it

The Synergy X is the model in the Alox Refined Collection with scissors. The slimmer Onefold and the Synergy have fewer tools. The Synergy X is available in red, silver and dark blue. The blade has no one-hand opening and locks in place with the liner lock when opened. To close it, push the lock to the side and keep your fingers out of the path of the blade. Do not use the screwdrivers as levers, otherwise they may break off.
