Rayher Silicone Fish Mould – 5 Designs for Concrete, Raysin, Casting Resin and Wax

The Rayher silicone fish mould (art. no. 36173000) has 5 fish designs for casting decorations, for example for a christening or communion. There are two sizes: the large fish measures 11.8 × 4.5 cm and the small fish 7 × 2.7 cm. Each design is 2.2 cm deep.

According to Rayher, the silicone is extremely flexible and keeps its shape. Because it stretches, you can easily release the dry pieces from the mould. It is also frost- and heat-resistant from -40 °C to 240 °C, so you can use the mould with many casting compounds.

Casting the fish

Rinse the mould with water before use. According to Rayher, you do not need a release agent such as oil. Pour in the casting compound and let it dry very thoroughly before demoulding. Then stretch the silicone slightly and ease the piece out.

• You can fill the designs to different heights. This makes pendants, napkin holders or candle holders.
• Acrylic paints, marker pens and Deco-Metall are suitable for painting, lettering and decorating.

Care and quantities

After casting, clean the mould with water and a little washing-up liquid. This keeps it in shape and means it can be reused many times. For all the designs together, Rayher gives a material requirement of approx. 450 g for Kreativ-Beton and Schmuckbeton, and approx. 370 g for Raysin 200. Use this to plan the amount before you mix.

Not suitable for food. Once you have cast concrete, casting resin or wax in a mould, do not use it for food again.
