Efco 20 W hot glue gun – for bonding card, wood, metal and fabric

The Efco hot glue gun (art. no. 1804101) melts hot glue sticks with a Ø of 7.4 mm into a sticky, pliable layer and bonds a wide range of materials. It runs on 220–240 V AC and is rated at 20 W. Two hot glue sticks are included, so you can get started straight away.

It bonds card, paper, wood, cork, metal, leather, ceramics and porcelain, various plastics, foams, fabrics, small mosaic tiles and many decorative items. This makes the gun suitable for craft projects, decorating and small repairs.

Using the glue gun

First read the instructions supplied. Bear these points in mind as you work:

• Insert the stick into the gun from the back, plug the gun in and wait until the glue comes out of the nozzle.
• Apply the glue sparingly and press the parts together straight away, as hot glue sets quickly.
• Never touch the hot nozzle or the fresh glue; between uses, rest the gun on a heat-resistant surface.
• With delicate foams, first test on an offcut to see whether the heat deforms the material.

Which glue sticks fit?

The gun is designed for hot glue sticks with a Ø of 7.4 mm. Sticks of a different diameter do not fit the barrel properly. Efco offers hot glue sticks measuring 100 × 7.4 mm if you need refills.
