Rayher Opaque Seed Beads 4.5 mm for Beaded Animals, Bracelets and Jewellery

Rayher opaque seed beads (rocailles) have a diameter of 4.5 mm and come in a tin containing 17 g. You can thread them into beaded animals, friendship bracelets and jewellery such as necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, belts or hair accessories. Choose your colour from the options.

Opaque means the beads are not see-through. The colour looks even and solid, even when you work several rows next to each other. At 4.5 mm, the beads are larger than fine seed beads and are easier to pick up and thread. According to Rayher, you can also use them to embroider and decorate accessories and clothing. Wash such items by hand only.

Working with the beads

Tip only a small amount into a shallow dish so the beads don't roll away and you can pick them up one at a time. For bracelets and necklaces, thread them onto beading thread or nylon thread. Wire is suitable for beaded animals because the shape stays stable. Before you start, check that your thread or needle fits through the hole, and knot the ends securely so nothing comes undone.
