Beadalon beading wire – 7 stainless steel strands with nylon coating
Beadalon Bead Stringing Wire (art. no. JW02T-0) is a beading wire made of 7 fine stainless steel strands in a kink-resistant, abrasion-resistant nylon coating. You can use it to string beads for bracelets, necklaces and earrings. The spool holds 9.2 m (30 ft) in a silver-coloured stainless steel shade (Bright).
At Ø 0.38 mm, the wire fits through beads with a small hole and suits general beading and craft projects. Before buying, check that your beads have a hole the wire and its coating will pass through. Several thin strands instead of a single one make the wire more flexible, so necklaces drape softly.
Attaching the clasp
Finish the wire with crimp tubes or crimp beads. Here is how:
- Slide a crimp tube onto the wire, pass the wire through the loop of the clasp and back through the tube.
- Pull the loop tight, but leave a little slack so the jewellery stays flexible.
- Close the tube with crimping pliers and thread the short wire end back through the first few beads.
- Trim the excess with side cutters.
