Rayher Bone Folder 14 cm – Genuine Bone Scoring and Folding Tool

Rayher Bone Folder 14 cm – clean folds in paper and card

The Rayher bone folder (art. no. 8907900) is a folding and creasing tool made of bone for paper and card. It gives you clean, precise edges without damaging the material. It is 14 cm long and 2 cm wide and tapers to a point at the front. The tip reaches narrow areas, while the broad surface is suited to running along longer edges.

Besides folding, you can use the bone folder to create raised effects on small paper motifs such as flowers, leaves or grass. One piece is supplied in a self-service bag.

How to fold cleanly

First crease the paper lightly and line up the edge exactly. Place the bone folder flat and run it over the fold from the centre outwards with even pressure. For thick card, first score a groove with the tip along a ruler so that the card does not crack along the fold. On dark or smooth paper, the bone folder can leave shiny marks. In that case, place a sheet of scrap paper in between.

Other uses

For small paper flowers, leaves or blades of grass, shape the motifs with the bone folder on a soft surface. With glued pads, carefully slide the tip under the edge of the sheet to release a sheet. Work slowly so that the paper does not tear.
