Glorex Tondicht – clay sealant for watertight vessels

Glorex Tondicht seals vases, jugs and bowls made of clay or modelling clay. This one-part sealant penetrates deep into the ceramic material and closes the pores tightly and permanently. Vessels made of modelling clays such as Keramiplast or Keramiton become watertight as a result.

Tondicht is intended for unglazed vessels. The sealant is not intended for tableware or drinking vessels.

How to seal your vessel

No elaborate preparation is needed: swirl Tondicht around the vessel so that the inner surface is wetted and the material can penetrate the pores. After that, the sealant needs time.

• Swirl Tondicht around the vessel so that the inner wall is wetted all over
• Leave to dry completely for approx. 6 hours
• Only then fill the vessel with water

Common mistake: filling too soon

If the vessel is filled with water before the drying time is up, the sealant cannot cure properly. Allow for the waiting time, for example by leaving it to dry overnight before you add flowers or water.
