BeaverCraft leather apron – protects clothes and thighs when carving

The BeaverCraft LC_AP_01 leather apron protects your clothes and thighs when you carve. It is made from dark brown Crazy Horse leather with metal fittings and sits on your lap as a firm surface on which you can rest the wooden blank securely.

The leather is 2 mm thick and, according to the manufacturer, repels dirt, grease and paint. After work, dirt and grease are easy to remove. At 590 × 540 mm, the apron covers the area where shavings and tools most often reach your clothes and thighs when carving.

Using the apron when carving

When you carve, the workpiece usually rests on your thigh, and that is exactly where a slipping knife quickly meets fabric or skin. The leather apron puts a firm layer in between and also gives the wooden blank a stable support. Crazy Horse leather is tough and keeps shavings, wood dust and grease off your clothes. Brush it off after work and remove any dirt or grease before you put it away.
