Working with the filbert

Use the broad side of the filbert to lay in areas and underpainting, and the tip for finer lines and details. If you turn the brush slightly as you stroke, the stroke width changes smoothly. Do not pick up too much paint: wipe the brush off on the edge of the palette so that the fibres do not stick together and the edges stay clean.

Size and care
