Schmincke HORADAM Watercolour Set, 6 × 5 ml Tubes

Schmincke HORADAM Watercolour Set – 6 Shades in 5 ml Tubes

The Schmincke HORADAM Watercolour Set contains six watercolour paints in 5 ml tubes and is suitable for watercolour painting. The paints contain pigments in very high concentration, and the colour flow is easy to control as you paint. The set includes shades 216, 365, 496, 530, 653 and 783.

Tube paint is soft and can be squeezed straight from the tube into the mixing palette. This also lets you mix larger quantities, for example for washes over larger areas.

Working with tube watercolour

Squeeze only a little paint into the mixing palette and dilute it with water. Start sparingly, as with highly concentrated pigments a small amount is often enough. For a soft gradient, dampen the paper, apply the paint and let the colours run into one another. With more water the paint becomes lighter and more transparent, with more paint it becomes stronger. Watercolour paper can take a lot of water and cockles less than thin paper.

Who is the set for?

Six tubes are a manageable start for anyone who works with Schmincke HORADAM watercolours and wants to mix their own colours. If you later need a particular shade, HORADAM watercolours are also available individually in 5 ml tubes. If you prefer to paint with a box of pans, the range also includes metal and wooden boxes with pans.
