Cléopâtre Vinyl École – white vinyl glue for paper, card and wood
Cléopâtre Vinyl École is a white vinyl glue (PVA) from France for crafts and school use. You can use it to stick paper, cardboard, card and wood. The glue is solvent-free and dries clear, so it leaves hardly any visible marks on pale paper.
It is thick and has a low water content, so thin paper cockles less. As long as the glue has not dried, it can be washed off with water. This helps with spills on hands, table or clothes.
How to glue with vinyl glue
Vinyl glue bonds well on absorbent materials, because the water it contains soaks into the surface and the glue sets as it does so.
- Apply a thin layer of glue to one of the two surfaces; too much glue lengthens the drying time and squeezes out at the edge.
- Join the parts, line them up and press down firmly while the glue is still wet.
- For larger surfaces, weight the parts down until the glue has dried so that nothing warps.
- Wipe off excess glue straight away with a damp cloth while it is still wet.
What it is suitable for – and what not
Paper, cardboard, card and wood are among the materials the glue is intended for. Vinyl glue bonds poorly on smooth, non-absorbent surfaces such as glass, metal or smooth plastic, as the water cannot soak away. Choose the pack size from the options.
