With the Städter embossing fish cookie cutter, you cut out 4.5 cm fish from dough, fondant or marzipan. The stainless steel cutter has a pre-embossed design. Its small size suits biscuits, cake decorations and toppings for muffins or small tarts.

Cutting out clean fish shapes

Roll the dough out evenly and chill it before cutting, as the outlines will stay sharper. Dip the cutter briefly in flour, or in icing sugar or cornflour for fondant, so nothing sticks. Press it straight down without wobbling and carefully release the fish. Whether the embossing stays visible after baking depends on the dough: firm shortcrust pastry usually keeps textures better than a dough that rises a lot.

Also for crafting and modelling
