The Caran d’Ache 849 Germanier is a ballpoint pen from the 2025 "Les Fulgureuses" special edition, which Caran d’Ache designed together with the designer Kévin Germanier. It is a pen for everyday writing that can also serve as a gift or collector's item. Choose your colour from the options.

The body is a hexagonal barrel made of light, sturdy aluminium. The hexagonal shape sits comfortably in the hand, and the pen does not roll off the table as easily. The surface has a pearl pattern, and the Germanier signature appears on the side opposite the clip. The clip and push button are made of nickel-plated steel. The pen is Swiss Made.

Refill and replacing the cartridge

The pen is fitted with a black Goliath refill with a medium line width. It lasts for up to 600 A4 pages, so you can write for a long time before you need to change it. When it runs out, simply insert a new Goliath refill, as the pen is compatible with all Goliath refills. That saves you from searching for a suitable replacement.

Packaging and gifting
