Lang Yarns Cashmere Premium is a knitting yarn made from 100 % cashmere, spun from the fine undercoat of the cashmere goat. You can knit jumpers, cardigans, hats, scarves and other pieces worn next to the skin or around the neck.

According to the manufacturer, each 25 g ball has a length of approx. 115 m. The small balls make quantities easy to plan: for an accessory you buy only as much as you need, and for larger garments you work out the number of balls from the yarn requirements. Choose your colour from the options.

Which projects suit this yarn?

With 3.5–4.5 mm needles it knits up into a fine, even fabric. As cashmere gives plenty of warmth for very little weight, the yarn suits pieces worn close to the body: jumpers, fine cardigans, hats and scarves. The fineness of the yarn shows to best effect in stocking stitch and simple textured patterns.

Quantity and tension

The manufacturer gives yarn requirements of roughly 300 g for a women's jumper in size M and approx. 375 g for a men's jumper in size M, which is 12 and 15 balls of 25 g respectively. The actual quantity needed depends on the pattern. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band (22 stitches × 34 rows over 10 × 10 cm) is only a guide.

Care

Hand wash cashmere items with wool detergent. Do not bleach and do not tumble dry. According to the care symbols, ironing is possible, as is professional cleaning (P).
