The fibre length is 34–36 mm with a fibre fineness of approx. 16.0 µm. One ball weighs 55 g and holds approx. 410 m, a length that goes a long way and suits lace patterns and intricate charts.

What to knit with Cashmere Lace

With 410 m to 55 g, the yarn is very fine and light. It suits airy lace shawls, narrow scarves and delicate tops where a pattern with many yarn overs and eyelet rows is meant to show. According to the manufacturer, the yarn is soft enough and suitable for baby knits. The light drape comes from the fine yarn combined with the delicate cashmere.

Knitting and care

Knit with needles of 2.25–2.75 mm, as recommended by the manufacturer. What matters is the tension given in your pattern. The manufacturer does not state a tension, so knit a tension swatch in your own stitch pattern. Lace patterns usually only show their full effect after washing: hand wash the finished piece in cold water and leave it to dry flat. Pin it into shape as it dries so that the lace pattern and edges open out evenly.
