Prym embroidery needles with sharp point No. 24 – fine needles for silk and whitework embroidery
The Prym embroidery needles with sharp point No. 24 are fine needles for silk embroidery, whitework embroidery and other delicate stitching. They are made from hardened steel, completely burr-free, and have a finely ground point. This lets you stitch precisely into fine fabrics without the needle catching.
The eye is symmetrically punched, which makes threading easier. The surface is smooth, so the needle glides well through the fabric. One pack contains 6 needles in size No. 24, measuring 37 × 0.80 mm.
What No. 24 is suited to
At 0.80 mm thick and 37 mm long, No. 24 is a slim, short needle. It suits fine, closely woven fabrics and thin threads, where a thicker needle would leave visible holes. The point allows precise stitches for details and fine motifs.
Choosing a needle
The needle should suit the fabric and thread: the eye has to take the thread, but the needle should make the smallest possible hole in the fabric. The range also includes No. 22, measuring 40 × 0.90 mm. It is slightly longer and thicker than No. 24, which you choose for particularly fine work.
