Water-Resistant 16 mm Webbing for Dog Leads, Collars & Halters

16 mm Webbing – Water-Repellent and Shape-Retaining for Leads, Collars and Halters

This webbing is 16 mm wide and 2.5 mm thick. You can sew dog leads, collars, horse bridles and halters or other outdoor and pet accessories from it. It is sturdier than conventional polypropylene, water-repellent and bacteria-resistant, so it stays easy to care for even when wet and dirty.

The pattern is visible on both sides, so you do not need to pay attention to a right and wrong side when sewing. The tape is abrasion-resistant, keeps its shape and does not stretch under load. This matters so that a lead or collar keeps its length.

Points to note when sewing

Choose fittings whose inner width matches the 16 mm of the webbing. For leads, collars and halters, the load capacity of the finished piece also depends on the stitching, rivets and fittings, not on the webbing alone. Sew or rivet carefully at the points where strain occurs.

Which width should you choose?

This series also offers the webbing in 20 mm and 25 mm. The 16 mm is the narrowest version and suits light, delicate projects. For larger and stronger dogs or horse halters, choose a wider version.
