Rico Design Creative Ricorumi Christmas CAL Box II – Crochet Kit

Ricorumi Christmas CAL Box II – 45 balls for 9 Christmas figures

The Rico Design Creative Ricorumi Christmas CAL Box II is a crochet kit for a crochet along (CAL): with 45 balls of Ricorumi you crochet nine Christmas figures, including a Christmas bunny, a reindeer and an elf. The yarn for all nine figures is in the box, so you do not have to hunt down the colours one by one.

The patterns are free: a QR code in the box takes you straight to the website with the patterns, so you can start straight away. The kit is suitable for beginners and experienced crocheters.

What is in the box

Of the 45 balls, 42 are Ricorumi in plain colours, 2 are Ricorumi Lamé and 1 is Ricorumi Spray. Plain and Spray are 100% cotton, Lamé is 62% polyester and 38% polyamide. Cotton gives crocheted figures stability and clear shapes. Because several figures are made from one box, the colours are not all in the same quantity: sort the balls according to the colour requirements in the patterns before you start.

Hook size and method

Crochet plain and Spray with a 3.0–4.0 mm hook and Lamé with a 2.5–3.5 mm hook; the exact size is given in each pattern. Figures are usually worked in a spiral, and a stitch marker at the start of the round helps you count. If you crochet fairly tightly, less stuffing shows through the stitches on stuffed figures. You can access the patterns via the QR code in the box.
