Rico Design flat rainbow candle mould – silicone mould for a flat rainbow candle

The Rico Design flat rainbow candle mould is a silicone mould for casting a flat candle in the shape of a rainbow. The finished candle measures 105 × 55 × 25 mm, the mould itself 118 × 69 × 30 mm. The silicone is soft and flexible, so you simply press the set candle out of the mould. According to Rico Design, instructions are included in the packaging.

The mould is intended for candle wax, which you melt beforehand. You need approx. 76 g of wax per candle, so you can easily estimate the amount before melting.

Making the candle

Use a tapestry needle or another pointed object to push the wick through one side of the mould and knot it on the outside. Centre the wick at the top so that the candle burns evenly later. Then pour the liquid wax in up to the top edge. Place the mould on a level surface so that the candle sets straight.

Releasing the candle

Wait until the wax has set completely before pressing the candle out of the flexible mould. If it is removed too early, it may crack or break. The mould can be reused many times.
