HobbyFun silicone mould for a heart candle holder – for taper candles

With the HobbyFun silicone mould you can cast small heart-shaped candle holders in plaster or resin. The heart measures approx. 4.5 × 2.5 cm and is intended for taper candles. The mould is made of flexible silicone, is reusable and heat-resistant. This makes it easy to release the castings, and you can cast several holders one after another.

Only the mould is supplied, not the finished candle holder.

Casting the candle holder

Place the clean, dry mould on a level surface and mix the casting compound according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pour the compound in slowly and tap the mould gently so that air bubbles rise to the surface. Leave the compound to harden completely. Then carefully bend the silicone back and release the holder. Measure the diameter of your taper candle beforehand and check that it fits the opening.

Cleaning and note

After demoulding, clean the mould with water and a little washing-up liquid if needed. Once you have cast plaster or resin in a mould, do not use it for food again.
