3D Silicone Gnome Mould – two figures for casting plaster and concrete

The 3D silicone gnome mould is a set of 2 made from very soft, fine silicone, for casting gnome figures in plaster, concrete or the water-resistant AC730 casting compound. The set contains one mould for a boy gnome and one for a girl gnome.

The soft silicone picks up even fine details. Once the cast has set, you can also peel the mould flexibly away from it without putting strain on the piece.

Casting the gnomes

Mix the casting compound according to the instructions on the packaging, preferably on the thin side so that it runs into the fine details. Stand the mould level on a flat surface and fill it slowly. Tap it lightly so that air bubbles rise to the top. Let the compound set completely before carefully peeling the mould away from the cast. If you peel it off too early, soft areas or details may break off.

Which compound to choose

Plaster mixes smoothly and is quickly cast; the figures are intended for indoor use. Choose concrete or the water-resistant AC730 casting compound if you want sturdier figures.
