Beadalon Scrimp Findings – screw crimps instead of crimp beads

Beadalon Scrimp Findings in cylinder shape (bullet) are brass screw crimps that replace a crimp bead in jewellery making. A small set screw inside grips the Beadalon beading wire. You do not need crimping pliers, and the fixing stays adjustable with the screwdriver.

The inside diameter is 1.04 mm. According to Beadalon, the Scrimp Findings are suitable for wire up to 0.53 mm thick. The pack contains 10 pieces. Choose your colour from the options.

Attaching the wire

The advantage over crimp beads: you can readjust the crimp if the length is not right. When threading, leave a small loop with a little slack so that the clasp stays movable.

• Partly loosen the screw in the finding with the screwdriver.
• Pass the Beadalon beading wire through the finding, through the clasp and back through the finding.
• Tighten the screw, then thread on the beads.

Tips for durability

Where the wire may rub against edges, a Wire Guardian protects it. For an extra secure hold, according to Beadalon, add a little BeadFix to the screw.
