Cernit Silicone Mould Round Cabochons – flexible mould for polymer clay and epoxy resin

The Cernit silicone mould for round cabochons is a flexible mould for polymer modelling clay. You can use it to make round cabochons for jewellery, accessories, table decorations or home decor. The white silicone is very flexible, so the castings come out easily and the details are preserved.

According to Cernit, the mould is washable, reusable and suitable for use in a standard oven. You can use it with polymer clay and with epoxy resin, so the same mould gives you cabochons in different materials.

Working with the mould

Press the modelling clay firmly into the cavities so that no air bubbles are left, and smooth off any excess. Bake polymer clay in the mould in the oven, following the instructions for your clay. Then let everything cool before you demould. With epoxy resin, wait until the resin has cured completely, then push the cabochons out of the flexible mould from the back.

Care

The mould is washable. After use you can wash off any residue of clay or resin and store the mould for your next project.
