Prym bag rings 35 mm in gunmetal – clip straps on instead of sewing them in

The Prym bag rings (art. no. 417893) are round rings in gunmetal with a snap-hook opening and spring closure. You can use them to clip straps onto bags, rucksacks or key rings, or to replace broken handles. The pack contains 2 rings.

The rings are made of smooth-polished die-cast zinc, so a strap or tape slides through the ring with little resistance. According to Prym, the snap-hook opening fits seamlessly into the curve of the ring, and the mechanism works reliably even with frequent use.

Using the rings

Open the snap-hook opening, thread the end of the strap through and close the spring closure again. This lets you swap straps without unpicking seams. The rings are also suitable for repairing bag handles when the seam can no longer be restitched. Check beforehand that your tape or strap fits through the ring, as Prym gives the diameter as 35 mm.

Gunmetal or another colour?

The bag rings are also available in the same size in silver and gold. Gunmetal is a dark grey and looks more understated than silver or gold. If you use several fittings on one bag, choose the same shade for all of them.
