Prym eyelets with washers Ø 8 mm – sturdy holes for fabric, leather and tarpaulins

Prym eyelets with washers (art. no. 542520) reinforce holes in fabric, leather, tarpaulins or paper and give cords, ribbons or string a neat opening to pass through. The pack contains 32 eyelets with washers, which give a firm hold. The inside diameter is 8 mm. Choose your colour from the options.

The eyelets are made of rustproof metal. You can use them on bags, clothing and curtains, on tarpaulins and banners, in scrapbooking and card making, and in DIY projects.

Fitting the eyelets

The 8 mm inside diameter suits cords, ribbons and thin ropes. For finer string, the Prym range also includes smaller eyelets with Ø 4 mm, and for thicker cords larger ones with Ø 11 mm or Ø 14 mm. Mark the position, cut or punch the hole to fit the eyelet and insert the eyelet from the front. On the back, place the washer on and press both together with the tool. The eyelet should sit so firmly that it no longer turns, otherwise it will come loose when the fabric is pulled taut. On thin or stretchy fabrics, you can reinforce the area beforehand with interfacing. Try fitting one on an offcut first.
