How to sew in the rattle disc

To keep the disc in place so it does not shift around in the stuffing, it is best to sew it into a small pocket made of fabric or felt. Use closely spaced stitches and secure the thread several times. Once the pocket is sewn shut, pull firmly on the seam before the figure is finished: if it holds, the disc is safely enclosed.

Where to put the 5 discs

In the body or head of a soft toy, the disc is surrounded by toy stuffing, so the rattle sounds more muffled. In grasping toys or rattles made of fabric or felt, you can sew it in closer to the surface, and it will be heard more clearly.
