Städter Moon Cookie Cutter – stainless steel cutter for dough, fondant and craft clay

The Städter moon cookie cutter (art. no. 107069) in stainless steel cuts moons from biscuit dough, fondant or marzipan. It is also suitable for crafting and modelling, for example with modelling clay, salt dough or FIMO. The cutter is 7 cm in size and only gives the outline. Decorations such as icing, sprinkles or embossing are added afterwards.

The motif suits Christmas baking, children's birthdays or moon-shaped decorations, and can be combined with doughs and clays in many colours.

Cutting tips

Roll out the dough or clay evenly, usually about 3 to 5 mm thick for biscuits. Press the cutter straight down and do not twist it, otherwise the edge will be ragged. If the dough sticks, a little flour on the cutter helps. For fondant or marzipan, dust the work surface with icing sugar or cornflour instead. Very soft dough is easier to cut after a short time in the fridge.

Using it for crafts

With salt dough, modelling clay or FIMO you can cut even moons for pendants, gift decorations or other decorative pieces. Once a cutter has been used for craft clays, do not use it for food again.
