URSUS Fox Lantern Craft Kit – all the materials for a round paper lantern

With the URSUS fox lantern craft kit you make a round lantern with a fox motif, for a lantern procession, for example. The kit contains all the craft materials: a round lantern blank (die-cut, Ø 21.8 cm, orange), tracing paper, coloured card in several sizes, glitter paper, a candle holder and a carrying handle.

Detailed instructions explain step by step how to make the paper parts. You do not have to hunt down anything separately, because the papers for the individual parts of the motif are already in the kit.

Making the fox lantern

Use the pattern sheet to trace the motif parts onto the different papers, cut them out and glue them onto the lantern blank. The coloured card provides the areas for the fox motif, the tracing paper lets the light through, and the glitter paper adds an accent. Before gluing, lay the parts on the blank once to check that everything fits and where it will sit.

Accessories and light

You need scissors for cutting out and craft glue for sticking. On the tracing paper, glue sparingly and only at the edge, because glue is visible against the light. A candle or light is not included in the kit. The candle holder is included, however, and keeps the light source standing securely in the lantern. An LED light is an alternative to a candle in paper lanterns, especially when children carry the lantern.
