POSCA PC-3M – opaque acrylic paint marker with bullet tip for paper, glass, wood and fabric
The POSCA PC-3M is a water-based acrylic paint marker with a calibrated bullet tip (0.9–1.3 mm) for writing, drawing and decorating. The paint is opaque, matt and odourless, and dries quickly. It does not bleed through paper, so the marker also suits fine lines, lettering and details on light and dark surfaces. Choose your colour from the options.
How long the paint lasts depends on the surface: on porous surfaces such as paper, wood or fabric it is permanent. On smooth surfaces such as glass, ceramic, porcelain or plastic it can be wiped off. That makes it handy for labels or window pictures that are meant to disappear again later.
Working with the PC-3M
Shake the marker with the cap on before first use and press the tip down on a scrap surface several times until the paint reaches the tip. Apply the paint in thin layers and let each layer dry before painting over it. This keeps edges clean and the colour covers evenly. On dark surfaces the opaque paint usually needs only a few layers. Replace the cap straight after use so the tip does not dry out.
What the tip size is suited to
With 0.9–1.3 mm you can draw fine outlines, write lettering and add details. Large areas are filled faster with a broader tip. On smooth surfaces such as glass or ceramic, test first on an inconspicuous spot, as the paint stays wipeable there. If paint has built up on the tip, you can rinse it out with water.
