Marabu Porcelain & Glass Painter Elegance, set of 3, black 073

Marabu Porcelain & Glas Painter Elegance – 3 black marker pens with three different tips

The Marabu Porcelain & Glas Painter Elegance set of 3 contains three porcelain and glass marker pens, all in black 073 but with three different tips: 0.8 mm, 2–4 mm and 1–2.5 mm. You can draw fine lines and lettering as well as broader strokes and filled areas on porcelain and glass.

The paint is high-gloss, water-based, odour-neutral and lightfast. The markers have a pump system and highly pigmented ink. Once baked, the decorated tableware is dishwasher safe up to max. 50 °C.

How to paint porcelain and glass

Clean the surface thoroughly; it must be free of dust and grease. Shake the pen before first use and pump it on a spare surface until the ink reaches the tip. Do not touch freshly painted areas with your fingers, as this affects adhesion. Then leave the tableware to dry for 4 hours, bake it in the oven at 160 °C for 30 minutes and let it cool in the oven. Leave drinking rims and cutting surfaces unpainted. According to Marabu, the paint does not adhere well to Arcopal®. Store the pens lying flat.

• Degrease the surface and let it dry
• Shake the pen and pump to prime it
• Leave to dry for 4 hrs
• Bake for 30 min at 160 °C and leave to cool in the oven

Which tip for what?

The 0.8 mm tip is suited to fine details and small lettering. With 1–2.5 mm and 2–4 mm you can make bolder lines and larger areas. If you need several colours, the Marabu Basic Set with five colours and a uniform 1–2 mm tip is the better choice; this set is intended for black designs in different line widths.
