This aluminium metal ruler is for accurate measuring and drawing at school, university, in the office, for crafts and for technical drawings. Drawing clean lines

Place the ruler on the paper with the rubber lip facing down and hold it firmly with your free hand close to the line. Run the pen along the edge at a steady angle. With ink and fineliners the ink edge helps: it keeps the edge of the ruler away from the paper, so the ink is less likely to run under the ruler. Before drawing, the underside and rubber lip should be clean and dry, as ink residue or dust can otherwise smear the ruler or make it slip.
