The sew-all thread is a universal thread for machine and hand sewing and suits cotton, blended fabrics and synthetic fabrics. The set is suitable for fashion, accessories, home decoration and handmade gifts.

Using the threads

According to the manufacturer, you sew with the metallic effect thread as the needle thread and use the sew-all thread as the bobbin thread. This keeps the sparkle on the right side of the fabric and the underside smooth. For machine sewing, a needle size Nm 100/110 suits the metallic effect thread, as it has a larger eye and protects the more delicate thread. Nm 70–90 is enough for the sew-all thread. Sew the metallic effect thread at a moderate speed and make a test piece on a scrap of fabric first, so you can check the stitch appearance and thread tension.

Which thread for what

With the 100 m reels of sew-all thread you can sew joining seams, topstitching and decorative seams on almost all types of fabric. The 50 m of metallic effect thread per reel is better suited to accents such as decorative stitches, outlines, embellishments on accessories or ornamental topstitching than to large areas.
