Beadalon Elasticity stretch cord – clear and stretchy for stretch jewellery

Beadalon Elasticity stretch cord is a clear, elastic cord for stretch bracelets, power bracelets, hairbands and other jewellery projects without a clasp. The cord is soft and stretchy, with a smooth surface. The reel holds 25 m, enough to thread several bracelets in a row. The clear colour is barely noticeable between the beads. Choose the diameter from the options.

With stretch jewellery, durability depends largely on the knot. For a secure finish, a figure-of-eight knot or a double knot is recommended.

Threading stretch bracelets

Measure your wrist and cut the cord with about 10 cm extra for knotting. Stretch the cord gently a few times before threading, so the finished bracelet will be less loose. Thread on the beads and tie the ends with a figure-of-eight knot or a double knot. Pull the knot tight before trimming the ends, leaving a short tail.

Which diameter should you choose?

The diameter must suit the bead hole. The cord should still pass through easily even when doubled or knotted. For beads with a very small hole, use the thinner cord; for larger beads and sturdier bracelets, use the thicker one.
