Efco Wooden Modelling Tool Set – 6 Polished Wood Tools for Shaping and Smoothing

The Efco modelling tool set consists of 6 tools made of sanded and polished wood, which you can use to shape and smooth clay, loam and modelling compounds and to add details. The tools are 20 cm long, so they sit comfortably in the hand. You can also control them well for finer work.

With six pieces you can switch between several tools without having to clean one first. That is practical when you alternately smooth surfaces and trace contours on a figure, a bowl or a relief.

Working with the modelling tools

To smooth, stroke the flat side of a tool over the clay in even strokes. If the surface is dry, moisten it lightly. Use the narrower edges and points to draw lines, make indentations and work out details. Press only lightly on thin walls so that the piece does not warp.

Care

Wipe the tools after use and leave them to dry. Do not leave them in water for long periods, as wood swells and can become rough as a result.
