Multimark Acrylic Marker Set – 6 Dual-Tip Acrylic Markers

The Multimark Acrylic Markers from Faber-Castell contain an opaque, lightfast, water-based acrylic paint. You can paint and write on paper, card, wood, leather, glass, plastic, stone and canvas – for example for lettering, illustrations, painted stones, glass decorations or craft projects. Each marker has two round tips: the fine one for lines and details, the broad one for filling in areas. A transparent front section shows the fill level.

Getting started

• With the cap closed, shake the marker firmly until you can hear the mixing ball rattle – it distributes the paint evenly.
• Press the tip down briefly several times on a piece of scrap paper until the paint flows into the tip.
• For longer projects, shake again from time to time.

Blending, layering, correcting

While the paint is wet, colours can be blended into one another; with a little water you can create watercolour-style transitions before it dries. Dry paint can be painted over with further layers. This creates additional in-between shades from the six pastel colours. On smooth surfaces such as glass, the paint can be removed as long as it has not yet set.

Avoiding common mistakes: If you press the tip down for too long, too much paint collects in it and blobs appear – it is better to press down briefly at intervals. If you want clean colour edges, let one layer dry before adding another colour on top, otherwise the shades will mix.
