Mayco Stroke & Coat SC-50 Orange Ya Happy – ceramic glaze, 236 ml

Orange Ya Happy (SC-50) is a colour from the Mayco Stroke & Coat range. You can use it for brush strokes and details as well as for opaque coverage. The glaze fires to a glossy finish without an additional clear glaze.

You control how opaque the result is through the number of coats: one coat looks translucent, and the coverage increases with each further coat. For fully opaque coverage, Mayco recommends two to three coats.

According to Mayco, the Stroke & Coat range can be used on damp clay as well as on bisque-fired earthenware and bisque-fired stoneware, and can be fired in oxidation or reduction from cone 06 (approx. 998 °C) to cone 10 (approx. 1,285 °C). At cone 6 (approx. 1,222 °C) in an oxidation firing, Orange Ya Happy stays opaque and the colour becomes slightly lighter.

According to Mayco, this colour is dinnerware safe and carries the ACMI AP seal, provided you apply and fire it as specified by the manufacturer.
